Same error on both.

Dependencies issue:
Unable to find libpng16-dev . libpng-dev:i386 libpng-dev replace it.
Unable to find libjasper-dev

Cannot instal dependencies. Cannot build.

Hi,
We will be addressing the dependency issues with new versions of jasper and png libraries in the next release. There is already an open issue on Github related to this. In the mean time we suggest that you download the AppImage version of XyGrib from the download facility for Linux OS. This should work without problems on Ubuntu 18.04.

Raspberry is not a priority at all at this time. If you come up with a solution for building on Raspberry, please post it here or on GitHub.

Thank you very much for the quick response. In fact, I was able to use the appimage on ubuntu 18.04 and it works great. The reason to build it from the sources is to solve a small problem that drags zyGrib and consequently xyGrib too. It is about the fact that when we use the Spanish language, the little sign that our expression "praparando mapas" is poorly translated. The correct expression is "preparando mapas". That's why I was trying to build to correct that little mistake, but it's no big deal.

On the other hand the Raspberry Pi question is important because zyGrib is a very important part of OpenPlotter which is a complete maritime navigation system based on Rpi. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of Openplotter users and keeping the software as up-to-date as possible is a priority. The jump from zyGrib to xyGrib is therefore an important question for us to consider and we are so interested. maybe an appimage built to arm the issue?

There is no objection to a raspberry pi version of XyGrib and, as far as I can see, there is no technical showstopper. Qt can be cross compiled for R pi. It is only a matter of available resources to do the job.
The XyGrib project is fully open as a collaborative effort and we invite anyone who can assist with a R. pi build. I will open an issue for this on GitHub inviting help to do this.

Well, I was able to compile XyGrib under Raspbian stretch in OpenPlotter over Rpi 3.
I just needed to replace libpng16-dev with libpng-dev and comment on the line 28 in the makefile under the src/g2clib folder if I didn't skip an error while compiling.
Interestingly I have not received any complaints from the system about the lack of libjasper library.
I've checked the result and everything seems to be working fine. I am happy because there are improvements under XyGrib that I like better than ZyGrib.
