HI,
New inexpert user here. Using Openplotter installation of xygrib on Raspberry Pi.

Is there a way to automatically remove old data files as a new file is downloaded?

My question relates to the standalone version of xygrib but could I expect be applicable to the OpenCPN plugin that I haven't yet invstigated in detail.

Thanks
Derek

Hi Derek,
The file management in XyGrib is limited to only 'remembering' the last used folder to save or retrieve a grib file. There is not automatic removal of outdated files. It is something to put on the wish list should there appear to be a demand for it. The desktop applications most likely don't need it but I can understand the need on a RP setup.
Best,
David

Resources on this site will always be free and open with no commercialization. However, operating costs of the servers to pre-process and deliver GRIB files to XyGrib are not trivial.
