Hi there,

I'm very happy to see some further developement of zyGRIB with the possibility to view ICON and COSMO!
Sadly, I've some issues with the OS X version.

I can't see any graphical Icons in the menubar, nor background map. When I load a gripfile via File->Open, I can't see anything as well. (see Screenshot, it's loaded with a GRIB)
Is this a known issue? My system is running on OS X 10.12.6.

Kind regards,
Toby

Hi and welcome,
What you describe is usually and indication that the application data which is in the folder "data" and its sub folders has not been installed or is not located where expected.
It should be located in the same folder as the executable file XyGrib.
Please let us know if you resolved this.
David

Hi David,

thanks for your quick reply!

I'd installed XyGRIB via the ZIP-Package as ist was, see screenshot attached.
Bud I've discovered another Problem: The latest and last version of zyGRIB (8.0.1) shows exactly the same issues: No icons, no charts! Maybe it's a general Problem with OSX 10.12?

Please try and install using the mac-pkg installer for OS X. It is located at opengribs.org/en/downloads/summary/2-xyg...es/75-xygrib-mac-pkg

Also check that if you are using a symlink or shortcut to run the program it should specify the path to run in as the folder with the executable XyGrib.
Try manually entering the folder and running the executable
