Hi,
Perhaps the idea of the model limits is not presented clear enough. The idea is to show the outer limits of the regional model rectangles. These, in the case of ICON-EU and Arpege-EU cover all of Europe, the Mediterranean and part of Africa. To see the rectangle you need to zoom out.

The image you posted shows the small area of Brest. When selecting the button to show the ICON-EU limits (for example), with the view zoomed into Brest all you might notice is some shading of the screen as you are well inside the limits of the model area.

We could have made the shading darker but the idea was to shade the model limits while still allowing to see enough detail to make a selection for download.

I hope this helps you.

Hello DavidGal,

Ok I understood. If we follow your approach, it works. So, sorry for making you waste time answering me.

But, clearly, I did not expect that. I expected that, automatically, the zoom is done by the software so as to make appear the zone.

But your logic does not correspond to what the naive user of the web expects. In today's world, one has to reach the goal in 1 click .... Without having to do anything else.

So, I think that others than me will remain perplexed by observing the apparent "not functioning" of the button.

Thanks,
I will list an issue to make this function more intuitive.
Perhaps an automatic zoom, as you suggested, to include the marked area.

David,
I'm very happy with the new 1.2 release and hopefully a lot of other users with me. Especially with the significant higher density of the grid and the timesteps of 1 hour (ICON EU). About 7 years ago, when I started using ZyGrib, the grid resolution was only 0.5°, today 0.06°. A lot of improvements have been made the last years, keep up the good work!
