I have been successful at installing XyGrib 1.2 on a tower running Windows 10 system using the "Online Installer", with the high resolution maps, and have been able to copy paste a large POI file (275 kb) into the C://Users/User/AppData/Local/opengribs/XyGrib folder. So that system works fine.

However, although I have been able to Install XyGrib 1.2 onto a laptop running Windows 7 system, I have not after many attempts been able to successfully find the same folder structure and copy paste the POI file into that XyGrib folder. Any advice appreciated.

Hi,

Search for xygrib*.ini from the root of C:. This should bring up the location being used

Resources on this site will always be free and open with no commercialization. However, operating costs of the servers to pre-process and deliver GRIB files to XyGrib are not trivial.
